Hi, I’m Lizbeth!

I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m a mental health therapist who values warmth, authenticity, and real human connection in the therapy space. My approach is relational and collaborative. I don’t see therapy as something that “fixes” you, but as a space where you can feel emotionally safe while also being gently challenged toward growth, healing, and greater self-understanding.

I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, OCD, and eating disorders, and have 4+ years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of treatment settings, including residential, PHP/IOP, community mental health, and outpatient care. These experiences have shaped my ability to meet clients with compassion, flexibility, and an understanding that healing is not one-size-fits-all.

Whether you are navigating overwhelming emotions, life transitions, trauma, a tricky relationship with food and your body, or difficulties with self-worth and identity, therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself and move toward lasting change.

The heart behind Living Light Counseling comes from the belief that healing often begins when we bring hidden struggles into the light with honesty, courage, and grace. I believe there is power in truth, vulnerability, and learning to live without shame.

Above all, my hope is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, while also moving toward the version of life that feels most aligned for you.

My Training & Experience

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University and have developed specialized experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of clinical settings.

During my graduate internship at a faith-based counseling center, I provided play therapy and trauma-informed care, including trauma intensives using EMDR-informed interventions for both children and adults.

Throughout my graduate training, I also worked in residential and PHP/IOP treatment settings treating eating disorders and general mental health concerns, gaining experience supporting clients in higher levels of care within structured treatment environments.

I have also gained experience supporting children and adolescents impacted by abuse and trauma through my work at a local Children’s Advocacy Center.

Today, my work is shaped by experiences across residential, PHP/IOP, and community-based settings, providing trauma-informed, relational care for children, adolescents, and families.

I also bring a personal understanding of what it is like to navigate anxiety and the challenges of being human. This allows me to meet my clients with empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for their lived experience.

A core part of my approach is helping you reconnect with your strengths and sense of self, even when you feel overwhelmed or disconnected. I view therapy as a space for both healing and honoring what is already human and whole within each person.

Let’s Work Together!
